Anchor Chain

The stevedoring of Anchor Chain requires a significant focus on execution planning to perform a safe job. Typically the chain comes “packaged” in bundles with long shots of chain connecting the bundles. This creates a need for 2 cranes working in tandem to remove the parcels to prevent damage to the ship. With some chain sizes the individual links can weight up to 360 pounds, so attention to the movement of every link is critical to a safe working environment.
